I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in child and adolescent psychopharmacology. I treat young adults as well. I have been in practice for 18 plus years and feel blessed to do the work that I do.

My training in mental health began during my undergraduate years at Trinity College (Hartford CT), where I majored in Neuroscience and wrote my senior thesis on ADHD. After college I worked as a clinical research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Pediatric and Adult Psychopharmacology Research Program. It was here where I worked closely with three wonderful nurse practitioners and realized that a career in mental health nursing was the ideal fit for me. It combined my interest in clinical psychiatry with the compassion-driven approach that nursing embodies.

I received my Advanced Practice Nursing Degree from Yale University in 2005. I went on to work in various outpatient mental health clinics, the most important and impactful being the 13 years that I worked at Boston Children’s Hospital. It was here where I had the pleasure of treating some of the most medically and psychosocially complex cases under the guidance of so many wonderful mentors and colleagues. I left Children’s in 2018 to focus on my private practice.

My approach is compassionate, caring, patient-centered, and not exclusively focused on medication interventions. I am a good listener and bring warmth and understanding to every patient that comes my way. I have treated children, teens, and young adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses and have particular interests in ADHD, OCD, Tic Disorders, and the medically complex patient.

The greatest part of the work I do is making a connection with so many wonderful individuals and families and seeing them progress over the years. Improvement can feel like quite a journey. The key is having the right provider by your side as you make that journey and to do it collaboratively. I tell all my patients… I cannot promise outcomes, but I can promise to do all that I can to help them achieve their goals and find sustainable happiness.
